Bushcraft is about learning, sharing and practicing both traditional and modern outdoor and survival skills.  It borrows equipment and skills from a number of native cultures from around the world as well as from historical explorers, pioneers and woodsmen. This traditional approach can be updated with appropriate modern technology, resulting in a kit and a skill set that includes the best of all worlds.

Piedmont Wildlife Center’s programs explore natural history, survival skills, and aboriginal studies, with a focus on the Piedmont area. These weekend programs are adult-oriented but we welcome people of all ages who have a deep interest in learning.
